Rest in Peace Don! We always enjoyed our time together with you when we had family gatherings. You were always so soft spoken and never had a bad thing to say about anyone! Your time on this earth was cut way to short! You will be truly missed. Jeff and Diana Robinson

"Where's my hug?" To my beautiful sister in law, Kimberly McClure and In loving memory of my amazing brother in law, Donald McClure. A respected therapist, once said, "We need four hugs a day for survival, eight hugs a day for maintenance and 12 hugs a day for growth." Hugging is definitely a powerful way of healing. Hugging, along with laughter, is extremely effective at healing sickness, disease, loneliness, depression, anxiety, and stress. A proper deep hug, where the hearts are pressing together, can benefit you in so many ways! The nurturing touch of a hug builds trust and a sense of safety. This helps with open and honest communication. Hugs instantly boost oxytocin levels, which heal feelings of loneliness, isolation, and anger. Holding a hug for an extended time lifts serotonin levels, elevating mood. Hugs strengthen the immune system. Hugging boosts self-esteem. It begins when are born and is embedded in our nervous system as adults. Hugs, therefore, connect us to our ability to self-love. Hugging relaxes muscles, releases tension in the body, can take away pain and balance the nervous system. Hugs teach us how to give and receive. They educate us on how love flows both ways. Hugs are much like meditation and laughter. They teach us to let go and be present in the moment. They encourage us to flow with the energy of life. The energy exchange between people hugging is an investment in the relationship.

I have so many wonderful moments to share... While archery hunting on Saddle Mountain, with Don, Drew, Jeff, and myself. We decided to do a dry camp and carry our sleeping bags in our packs. About an hour and half into the hunt, we came across and called in a monster bull, this one was Don's. The outcome, is an entirely different story. To know Don, he is extremely afraid of bears, and trust me, when I say we gave him a bunch of crap. After that encounter, we slowly transverse and called across the side of the mountain. We came upon the east side opening and made our way to an Aspen grove, which we made camp. It was dark, wind was blowing hard. We decided to eat something. We could smell Hormel chili, Don was eating cold chili out of the can. He was laughing, and we reminded him that bears have a huge sense of smell and will most likely visit him in his sleeping bag to try and find that can. The wind finally stopped at 2:30am and we got some sleep. We woke up to find Don had slid down the hill about 20 feet in his sleeping bag, and that his chili can had been thrown over by Jeff. What a funny guy; throw the chili can and move farther away so that bear would get Jeff. I will forever miss you in my life, and moreover in my sister's life. God Speed-Don!

I have always said about Don he has the most infectious smile! I honestly never saw him without one. Even if he was just hanging out listening to a conversation....always a smile! The love he exuded from his being for Kim is one for the record books! Never have I ever witnessed a stronger more pure and Godly relationship than there's! Much love to you Don

There are so many memories. Don was a bit of a perfectionist, he could stand at a picture and have the measurement that it was hanging off almost on point. If we ever had something broken the first words out of our mouth was I bet Don could fix that. What a great smile and laugh. Miss your hugs buddy.
