Obituary of Steve Handen

Sacred Heart Parishioner, Steve Handen, died on July 12, 2021. Steve was an advocate for our homeless community. He was a member of The Bijou Community. He founded the first soup kitchen in Colorado Springs, and founded a columbarium where the cremated remains of those who have died on the streets are buried.Steve's Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, July 23, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2030 West Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904.Immediately following the mass, there will be a time of remembrance in the Parish Center Gym.
