I have known Steve since I was a little girl. He was the priest at Corpus Cristi Church. I absolutely loved and adored this man. A true Christian in all ways. A Godly man who cared about everyone! To Steve's family, I am so sorry for you loss... Heaven received a true angel . Steve, you will be missed so very much. It's time for you to do your work in heaven....

My wife Donna and I will always remenber this lovely human being as the person who married us in 1967 at a home mass where we lived in the Pikes Peak park subdivision. He was the spiritual director for the St. Vincent DePaul Society in those days and had a significant inpact on my life for all these years. I recently visited Steve and he shared the moment with grace and loving care that was his trademark. I know that he was in pain but he tried not to show it. We had a cup of coffee and spoke of our past experiences as if they were just yesterday instead of over 50 years ago. I will miss him very much but not as much as the many many people that he ministered to, always with that a loving smile and gracious demeanour. I pray that his soul has been lifted up to heaven with the angels and that God rewards his earthly duties in a very special way. I loved you Steve, Joe Priester

What a holy man. Who else thinks to take such care with burials for the forgotten homeless among us? Who else tried to restore former sex offenders to daily life and community? He graced us all with his goodness.

I first met Steve through my association with Kim Langstaff and Susan Langstaff (unrelated) probably about 45-50 years ago, when he was with the Food Kitchen. Last saw him at Susan's memorial service in 2017. He certainly was the embodiment of compassion, kindness and empathy. He will be sorely missed by this community and his family and many many friends and acquaintances. I am sorry for the collected loss. Go in in peace my friend.
