Obituary of Rhonda Jones Campbell

Rhonda Renee Jones Campbell of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on July 16, 2021 and has established citizenship in heaven. She was born December 26, 1959 at Margaret Hague Maternity Hospital in Jersey City, New Jersey to Ezell and Emma Coker Jones of Gray Court, South Carolina. Rhonda is survived by her favorite, devoted husband, Walter; her favorite daughter, Alexandra (Kameron) Rhodes; and her favorite son, Joseph (CJ) Campbell; three sisters, Antoinette (Mark Terry) Harris and Tammy (Corey) Bailey, both of Gray Court, South Carolina and Lisa (Elton) Owens of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; one brother, John (Wanda) Jones of Concord, North Carolina; and a host of nephews and nieces. She graduated from Laurens District 55 High School, Laurens, South Carolina, in 1977. Rhonda received her degree in Business and Marketing from Johnson C. Smith, Charlotte, North Carolina in 1982. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) Sorority, Inc. and Order of the Eastern Star (OES). Rhonda has always had a giving spirit which has been seen in her dedication to her family as well as others. She was the support system of her husband and children as they traveled around the world. She was the heart and backbone of the family as they traversed from various military duty stations making each new house truly a home. Rhonda was a dedicated employee for Colorado Springs School District 49 District for twenty years until her retirement.
