Joy Child Phillips, 75, of Colorado Springs, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 17, 2021, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.She was born on August 23, 1945, to Rawson and Joyce Poulter Child in Ogden, Utah.In 1987, Joy married Jim Phillips with their love story spanning decades.Joy is survived by her son, Terry Brandon Fuhriman; daughter, Becca (Mark) Silver; and stepson, Josh Phillips.She was a proud "Gamma" to Jonathan Litz, David Silver, Samantha Kruse, Riley Minzenmayer, Madison Silver; and Great "Gamma" to Lillian Litz, William Kruse and Oliver Kruse.Joy has been reunited with her daughter, Lisa Fuhriman; brother, Dennis Child; daughter-in-law, Sharon Fuhriman; her parents; and many furry friends.The family wishes to extend gratitude for all of the kind words, gestures, prayers, and generosity of friends and family during this time.Private Funeral Services will be held at, Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80925, followed by an open Celebration of Life reception.
