Funeral 08/07/2021 What a beautiful tribute for your Mother As her sister I also know of her sweet and feisty personality. Colleen is not afraid to confront and has a big heart to love everyone. Her hard work ethics and gospel foundation made her a survivor, to help her through all of the obstacles that she had in her mortal life. The weight of mortality is now lifted, and her vibrant personality is free to bring joy and love to those around her as she gets reacquainted with relatives and develops new friendships. I know that she deeply loves all of her children and grandchildren, this was always in her expressions on the occasions that we would visit. I know that you are upmost in her mind and she will be aware of each of your situations. When the waves come, try to feel her arms reaching for you, to comfort and support you. I have been impressed at how well you all took such good care of your Mother. What a Wonderful Mother she is. Love, Catherine Butler P.S. I loved the signatures and artwork on the casket. That was a great idea!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the White family. I feel so blessed to have known Colleen, even for the short time she was in Colorado. Her spunk, love for her family and the gospel is an example to me. I know she is finding joy in being reunited with loved ones. I will miss our visits!

Colleen was always such a good girl with a happy spirit, saying "What can I do now, Mommy". Later, as I had to work to earn a living, she would be responsible for her eight siblings. How many teenagers would do all this and even can bushels of fruit while their mother was at work? I am so grateful to have had such a devoted daughter. She is a special child of God.

Oh Auntie, Since I was a little girl you always took care of me. I loved helping you cook and clean, paint yours, Heather's and Laura's fingernails when they were babies. You took me to movies, to the water park, bought me my first nachos from 7-11, my first set of acrylic nails, I felt so pretty like my Aunt Colleen, you were a friend to me. You made Me the best home made lunches to bring to school & every time I sat down to eat them you had left me a love note and home made chocolate chip cookies encouraging me to make the best of my day. You let me borrow your pretty blue dress, shoes and a necklace for my first prom, you even did my hair and makeup. You held me when I cried & laughed with me when I was happy. You were always there for me growing up. You never complained. I thought you were Wonder Woman! I learned so much from you. You brought sunshine to my life. You taught me to see the good in everyone. I love you! Forever and Always

One of the kindest people I ever knew. Her cooking was a comfort food growing up. More love than words can give to her kids and people who knew her.

I am a better person having known Colleen. She taught me how to can fruits and veggies. She taught me how to make a few yummy meals (I am still a bad cook but any meals that are good is because of Colleen). I learned to take people at face value because of Colleen. I let things that bother me go more because of her example. I am more actively patient because of the things I learned from Colleen. I learned how to finish a job even when I am tired because of Colleen. I am a better house keeper because of Colleen. I love children other than my own because of Colleen and I adore all of her children. They are almost like my own. I am glad that I was her sister wife for a time. I truly loved her then and stilll do. She was always there for me. I remember how much she drove me crazy when she would leave her clothes behind the door after showering and it made it difficult for me to open the door. It was so annoying, but when she left the family, I went into the bathroom. I could open the door freely and I broke down and cried. I missed her terribly and not just because she was the best cook on the face of the earth but because she was a truly wonderful, kind person and I still love her today and think of her often. Colleen, you will always be a sister and a friend. Please find the baby I lost who is now in Heaven and my David. Please hug them and tell them I love them. I know you will continue to love my children there and I promise to love your children here until we meet again. The world lost a truly amazing woman. I love you Colleen.

Colleen is my amazing sister and my invaluable friend. Her positive attitude, compassion, generosity and unconditional love radiated onto everyone who was in her company. Living life with my sister Colleen was like flying with a wingman I new she was always right there by my side. Whenever I would call she would be there with open arms. She had an uncanny ability to lift you up and cheer you on even through all her suffering. My sister was and still is a lively force to be reckoned with and she has left her mark on all of us. I once read "A legacy is not leaving something for people it is leaving something in people" Colleen has left us with both, she left us with her six incredible children, their wonderful spouses and all her adorable grandbabies and she left us with her unconditional love and infectious joy which is imprinted into our hearts to carry with us for always. Thinking of my sister brings a smile to my face and happiness to my life. It is so heartbreaking not to be able to hear her sweet vivacious and caring voice or laugh with her about life or the latest cute thing her grandkids did (one of her favorite subject). Not sure what I am going to do without my wingman/wingwoman. 'I love you Colleen for always. Your sister Krystyn

Colleen was quite an amazing lady. She chose to always be cheerful and happy, even when she had reason to complain. She was known for her famously delicious cookies, which she always shared with others. She gave of her time and talents to everyone, everything, and every cause. She was a cheerleader, ready with her encouragement and support. Her family was the love of her life. She will be missed. I'm happy to call her my neighbor and friend. ‘Til we meet again, Colleen. Love, Janette and Dave Basinger

I loved when Colleen would come to my home to sit and visit. She had such a firm testimony of family history, and she wanted to progress in her ability to work on FamilySearch. I am so happy that she now doesn't need any help…she has her progenitors right there helping her! She is an inspiration of enduring to the end, and leaves behind a marvelous legacy. She is my friend.
