CSM Fred Warren Mizell, U.S. Army, (Ret.), 69, died August 4, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born June 9, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan to Fred and Mary Maxine (Sirmon) Mizell.Fred proudly served as a Soldier for twenty years during which time he epitomized what a Soldier and leader was before honorably retiring in 1996. Fred was recently a government contractor who served multiple years in Kuwait.Fred was known to those who knew him to be the most kind and warmhearted person both throughout his professional and personal life. Those who had the honor to get to know him were truly blessed. Fred's mission in life was to lead a good Christian life and to spread and share the Word of God wherever he went.He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary Mizell. Fred is survived by his wife, Chong Ok Mizell; daughter, Sook Yung Mizell; son, Ji Hyung Mizell; granddaughter, Madelynn Hope Mizell; brothers, Phillip (Marie) Mizell and Bruce (Theresa) Mizell; sister, Brenda Lubak; and stepsister, Gina (Tim) Travis.Funeral Service, 11:30AM, Wednesday, August 11, 2021 The Springs Funeral Services-North, 6575 Oakwood Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80923.
