What are you doing now Dave? This is how I always greeted David. Dave was fun. From making up his own dances, "The Guacamole", and "Stacking the Shelves", to him and Steve doing improv of "Sven and Ollie". We had so much fun anytime we got together. When camping or riding the Argos, Dave was always entertaining. I met and got close to Deb, though texting prayers for Dave. I visited Dave a few times after his stroke. I'd try to make him laugh. My buddy, my friend, I love you and I miss you. I hate this dumb Covid for keeping us apart.

Dave was an amazing horseman, brother, and singer. I am the mother of Dave's only child, and Lindsey reminds me so much of him and Renee. Rest in Peace, Dave, you chose your life the way you wanted. Nancy

The guitar was never far away, unless he was holding a reel and rod or hunting with his brother, dad, grandfather, and me his uncle Rick. I watched him grow up and become the man you all loved. In doing so he retained a kindness of spirit that distinguished and defined his essence. It was impossible to not like Davey. He will be missed by all that had the privilege to know him.

Davey is my husband's, Dan, brother and what a pair they made. It was always wonderful to see them two interact because they got sooo crazy together. The music they played and sang always touched your heart, even the funny ridiculous songs. When I first met him he came to my birthday party where we did tequila shots. He overlooked telling me that he had ulcers and "shouldn't" be drinking those! I felt sooo bad and he just laughed as he was puking on the curb! Ah, those were the days that will be remembered. And finally, all the girls loved Davey and wanted to be his, Deb was the lucky one to be with him in his final days. We will all love and miss Davey!

Our little Davie. I will always hear his infectious laugh, remember his hospitality on many Thanksgiving days in their home, his singing duets with brother Dan. I'll never forget the story of how at 2 years old he " got back at" big brother Dan by pulling and stretching out the neck of His tee shirt. We are saddened at losing that loving, caring guy, our nephew, and pray for the whole family that Gods strength and comfort will be on all. Aunt Kathy and Uncle Ben.

Dave, you married my favorite sister and made her happier than I had ever seen her, EVER. I will miss your sweet smile, your chuckle, your playing Jerry Lewis to Deborah's Dean Martin. Mostly, I will miss your hugs. You welcomed the Georgetown gang and made each of us feel special. You treated Deborah's children and grandchildren as your own and their hearts will be forever changed and grateful for your love. Until we meet again, my Honey Bunny.

Dave came into my life as light bulb Dave. Perfect nick name because you really showed your light into my life! You have been, will be, always my "boyfriend"! I can't pick one favorite memory as there were far to many. But you will always stay in my life. Miss you

In 1989 I was stationed at Ft. Carson in Colorado Springs, and was introduced to Dave through a mutual friend. Dave and I hit it off very quickly and became friends almost instantly. It is through this friendship that I was able to learn that not only was Dave a friend, he was a mentor. I'm a city boy who Dave took under his wing to learn the way of a Cowboy. What better way to learn than go to a bar called Cowboys in Colorado Springs. Dave had a brilliant way of being the most to everyone he encountered. I'll never forget the trips to Cowboys, the trip to Cheyenne Wyoming for Frontier Days, spending a day trip to Cripple Creek with girls that we really loved, the purchasing of a bar for the family room that had given us memories that still linger today. His vision of starting Long Stride Stables and teaching me how to ride a bull. OK, it was a barrel tied to posts that had four people trying to kill me, but Dave said it was just like riding a bull. Dave's friends quickly became my friends too. Craig, Terry, Lazy Mae, Cathy, Debbie, Shelly. I think of them often. I can't remember a time when Dave didn't put others first. The years past, correspondence was minimal, but I always knew Dave would be there. We always shared stories, and none was better than when Dave and I traveled to Buffalo for Christmas and then to Minnesota for New Years in ‘89-‘90. We hit a snowstorm in Wisconsin, were stranded in a truck stop. Thankfully the next day we were very close to the Leinenkugel Brewery. Of course Dave new the security guard. Tour and lots of cases of beer completed our trip. Dave was simple, loyal, dependable, and one of the greatest guys I knew. He shared his life, his home, his treasure with everyone he knew. He made me a better person. He led me to open my eyes to God, and that was a great gift. I know our paths will cross again. I'm saddened at his passing, but I know his eternal life's celebration is still ongoing. I take solace in the fact that he is sitting at the right hand of God our Father, and he is not alone. I miss my friend. My mentor.

You had so many nicknames My Love. In the beginning of us you were Cowboy Dave. After us you were Lightbulb Dave. In us you became My Love; The Beloved of God. To our grand babies you are Saba (Hebrew for great grandfather.) To the children I bore, you are friend. You were, are and will always be the love of my life, second only to God. Loving you is one of my life's greatest pleasures. Seeing you through to the arms of the Father was was a gift from God to us both. I pray you are dancing now and I know with all of my heart that you are completely free from the pain and suffering of this fallen world; completely healed and whole, and for this I praise our loving Savior. Rest now my Love and we will see you again.

I learned early on never to go into my kitchen in my underwear. His body might not do what he wanted, but there was nothing wrong with his eyes. He could spot me on my patio, in my living room, and on into the kitchen. When he saw m,e he'd start waving and I'd wave back. Not only were we good friends, we were "waving buddies"... Those will always be my favorite and most precious memories of Dave. Here's waving at you, dear.friend. I'm missing you.
