Obituary of Cynthia Louise Turner

On Monday, October 4, 2021, our beloved wife, mother, sister and friend returned to her heavenly home.Cynthia Louise Turner (67) was born in Abilene, Texas to George and Phyllis Hermann. The family later moved to Green River, Wyoming where she was involved in sports and graduated from Green River High School. While in Green River, she made lifelong friendships and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There she also met her lifelong sweetheart, Dennis Turner, whom she married in 1974 (two years later they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Ogden, Utah LDS temple). Together they raised their five children and enjoyed a lifetime of family, friends and community in the Riverdale/Ogden, Utah area.Cindy was a friend to all she came in contact with. She had a wonderful gift for making everyone feel loved and special. Her kind heart and welcoming spirit blessed the lives of many. She had many hobbies and talents which included: canning, sewing, cross-stitching, crocheting, and delivering countless special gifts to family, friends and those in need. She was a wonderful cook. Her kitchen and home were always open family, friends and visitors. Cindy was always happy to share a story, words of encouragement and lend a listening ear all throughout her life.Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Phyllis Hermann; and brother, George "Georgie" Hermann. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Turner; children, Rebecca (Brad) Krey, Keli (Bryon) Brown, Amber (Preston) Allen, Suzanne (Bill) Caldwell, and Daniel (Jessica) Turner; fourteen grandchildren; siblings, Catherine Roberts, Phyllis (Rick) McWhorter and Robert Hermann.Cindy spent the last year of her life in Colorado where she was cared for by her loving husband, children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who love her. Her priceless legacy of love and kindness will be forever cherished.A memorial will be held in her honor on Friday, November 26, 2021 from 3:00PM to 5:00PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints, located at 5500 South 1175 West Riverdale, Utah 84405.
