I am so very sad about Carl's death. My memories of him go back-way back- to when he was in the military. Uncle Jimmy brought him home to meet his family and spend some time together. I've always wondered if he could have possibly imagined his best friend and his little sister Eileen falling in love with each other. I'm so glad they had so many years together , sharing their lives, raising their children and being each other's true love. I know that someday they will be together again and able to hold each other close in Heaven. All our love to his wonderful children, grandchildren and family members. Barbara & Gary

What a lovely tribute video! Brought tears to my eyes. The Whites were my 2nd family growing up in the forest. Carl was always so sweet, funny and kind, albeit quiet. He always reminded me of Bing Crosby. Carl was a man who was respected, admired and loved by all. I have many fond memories of spending holidays, VBS and many weekends/after school days with the family. Their home was always so welcoming and cozy. One of my most favorite places to be. I'm blessed to have grown up with them and extend all of my sympathies and prayers to Eileen, Moira, Tara and Sean White, as well as their extended family. Love you all. Hugs, Leslie Mackay

Carl was my loving American dad. We enjoyed so many great times together with the family. Wow You let us do the most incredible things. Camping in the mountains, rockrepelling with Sean, Keith, Scott and Dan and you even let is go on a springbreak tot Mexico. Carl was a special friend for 43 years. When we had a problem with our home or car Carl was always ready to help, our "go to guy". My Grandpa was always the most wonderfully warm presence. Witty and funny and so earnestly loving. I had to say Goodbye to him many more times than I would like, and his bear hug with taps on the back accompanied with an "I'll miss ya" were more touching than any farewell anyone could offer. He loved life, he loved to laugh, he loved his breakfast, he loved his Family, he loved to be surrounded by God's beautiful creation. What a man he was, so so truly special. And what a life he lead. I know that now he is where his home truly is- and I'm sure he wouldn't want to come back even if he could, but his departure still hurts, and the void it left cannot be filled. I miss you Grandpa, and I long for the day I will hear your wonderful laugh ringing in my ears once again
