Darryl, Kevin and Kirk; I am praying for your family as we celebrate Aunt Eleanor's life and promised eternal home in Heaven. There are two very special commitments I love to remember most about her. The first being her unwavering commitment to Jesus Christ, her personal Lord and Savior. And secondly, her commitment to fun! She loved to laugh and genuinely enjoyed people. As kids, I knew that when we arrived in Colorado, Aunt Eleanor would immediately come to Grandpa and Grandma Wilson's house, ask what our plans were for our trip and coordinate an itinerary for our visit that included everything and more than we could have hoped for! What a wonderful example before us: to carry the Godly mantle as she carried it, until Jesus calls us home. ♥️ Lovingly, Dona Petersen

A truly godly woman. Eleanor was a friend, a leader, and mentor to me and my family most of my life. She will be greatly missed.

Eleanor Harrison left an impression on her little brother. She always looked out for me. She was always one to listen and give advise. I will miss the phone calls and sharing with her about life. One you could always count on for help. I will see you soon, save me a place. I loved forever. Mahlon

Daryl and Eleanor opened their home to me for two summers (1969 & 1970) while I was working in Colorado Springs at summer jobs and attending Friends Bible College during the school year. Eleanor was both a close friend and a second "mom" to this 18-19 year old trying to grow up. The maddest she ever got at me was when she left me home to babysit Kevin and Kirk - I couldn't get Kirk (around 2 years old) to take a nap or eat his supper either one, so when he finally fell asleep at the table with his head in his plate of beans I just let him sleep there. At least he was quiet and I thought that counted for something! Daryl, Kevin & Kirk, you are all in my prayers!

Fred, mom was pretty angry at the time. But she told this story all the time (much to Kirk's chagrin} and laughed the whole time. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing this Dona. Mom loved it when people came to town. She loved to play tour guide.
