We first met Jim working at the Dale House Project. He was such a kind gentle presence on Wednesday nights. Eight years later, as we prepared to become parents, Jim converted our laundry room and hall into a third bedroom. Jim worked for months on the project, pushing through pain. He was a steady presence in our home during the months leading up to our children's arrival. As we stressed about all that needed to be done. As we questioned if we were ready to be parents, Jim's smile and gentle laugh always put us at ease. Looking around our home today, memories of Jim are everywhere. His love is in our walls, our floors, our shelves, our doors. Our children were welcomed home into a warm space because of Jim's care... and we will forever be grateful.

Jim was our neighbor at Whie Oak Shores on Lake Fork Reservoir in Texas. We always enjoyed seeing Jim walk Jake. My husband spent talking to Jim for long periods of time. He was so kind. He spent as much time as he was able doing yard work, riding his ATV, mowing with his riding mower. One day, he helped us work on our dock. We mow our lawn with a push mower. He offered several times to help us but said he understood when we declined his help. He said 'as long as you're doing it for exercise'. We would look forward to him coming back to Texas when he had been in Colorado. We will miss him so much. David and Deborah Yager.
