Obituary of Joshua Dean Boynton
Joshua Dean Boynton was born in Colorado Springs on October 15, 1977. He passed from this life into eternity on December 5, 2021.He is survived by daughters, Opal Boynton, and granddaughter, Layla; Amethyst (Micah) Magdsick, and granddaughter, Amara; Jaden Boynton, and Emerald Boynton; and stepdaughter, Crystal Stinebeck; and his wife, Leslie Boynton. He is also survived by his parents, Charles, and Cheryl Boynton; his brothers, Jason (Racheal) Boynton, Matthew (Rebecca) Boynton, and Ethan (Megan) Boynton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends who were part of his life and cared for him. He was preceded by a grandson, Kalel; and by his grandparents, Ed and Phyllis Kelly, and Charles and Marie Boynton. From the time he was a small boy, the one thing Joshua wanted to be was A DAD, like his Dad. Soon after graduating, he married Leslie, who had a tiny girl, and he had his dream came true. Four daughters followed, and his life with them brought him the joy that he had always hoped for. In more recent time, he became GrandPaPa, as two small, beautiful granddaughters joined his life, and he was complete. He had a grandson who passed into eternity before him, and we know that he was waiting in heaven to see his GrandPaPa. When Joshua was thirteen, he talked to his mom and dad about Jesus. He told us he wanted to ask Jesus to come into his heart, and we had the privilege of praying with him as he became a born-again believer. His belief in Jesus brought him joy and peace in hard times. Joshua was a loving and kind man who would do anything for the people he loved. Family held the treasured place in Joshua's heart. He would do anything for family, often stopping whatever he was doing to help in whatever way was needed. He poured his time and energy into being there for his girls. He had a corny sense of humor, and always thought his jokes were funny. His laugh was contagious, and you couldn't help but laugh with him, whether they were funny or not. He and his dad shared a love of John Wayne, and he enjoyed being called Duke. He was a cowboy. You never caught him without his boots on. He learned to grill from his dad from a young age, and they would spend hours grilling together and eventually they would go into competition with each other, to see who could grill the best. From his grandmothers, Marie and Phyllis, he learned about football and THE BRONCOS! He would spend time with both grandmothers, sitting at their homes and quite fervently cheering on their favorite team. After they passed, his love of football and Broncos would continue the rest of his life. He had an enormous collection of Broncos memorabilia, but the one that caused him grief was an original early John Elway card, signed by John Elway (he mailed it to Mr. Elway and requested an autograph and he sent it back to Josh signed just to him), that he left in his pocket, and it went through the wash. Mom was in trouble for many weeks for that one (even though, ahem, it wasn't her fault.)Joshua was homeschooled and went on to get his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice, with a heart for law-enforcement. He loved protecting people and that seemed to be a path he would choose. But as often happens, God had another path for him, and he was introduced to the pest management field and joined a company that had been in business for many years. John, his boss, took him under his wings and taught him the trade, and Joshua loved it. Protecting people in a different way. He embraced it with a passion and soon became the best pest guy in town. We eventually purchased the company and he made it his own. He loved what he did and was good with it, and he enjoyed the people that he got to know through it. Funny thing, even though he was in pest management, he has a pet spider. Joshua had an abundant personality. When he would come into the room, you could feel his smile even before you saw him. It reached out and enveloped everyone who encountered him. Joshua Dean Boynton, we miss you so very, very much and look forward to seeing you in Heaven.Memorial Service, 1:00PM, Thursday, December 16, 2021, Woodmen Valley Chapel, 290 East Woodmen Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80919.
