I did not know Joe that well but know his wife Kathy very well for we used to work together and what I remember is how they were such a great couple. You could tell how much they loved one another and Kathy was always talking about him and when she did, you could see her face light up. Rest in peace

Joe was driving by my house on a summer day and we chatted for a few minutes out front. My son Aaron was playing catch with his friend Seth when the ball hit Joe's truck (not too hard). Seth reached down to pick it up when Joe acted upset and said " where's my rifle"? Seth had a shocked look of unbelief with his eyes and mouth wide open as he backed up holding his arms out defensively. Joe chuckled that he's just joking and the relief on Seth's face was amazing. We all laughed hard as it was so funny. Joe was the perfect example of the guy who would give you the shirt off his back. He was always willing to let me borrow his truck to take stuff to the dump and would never accept money for gas or using it. He also helped build my deck which was really nice of him and again, wouldn't accept any money - he was a very kind person. Albert Alire

Joe and served together in Vietnam with the 114th Assault Helicopter Co. We were in different flight platoons but when we had a chance we loved to party together. Joe and I reunited a few years ago and loved sharing stories and pictures we had of Vietnam. Joe will be missed very much by me and our family. RIP

To the lovely Lentz Family - we honor you and we honor Joe. I know Kathy best … but … there was always "Joe"… in the background, at the ready, to help in any way. God Bless all of you!
