The first time I met Herb was on my first date with Vern in 1971 at the Seminary Bone Cruncher meal and gathering that followed at a classmate's home in Mequon, Wi. The impression I had of Herb was that of a very kind, caring man with the gentleness and humbleness to be admired. We were honored to have Herb as an usher in our wedding almost 50 years ago on May 27, 1972. As my mother died close to Easter in 1986, our pastor said that this would be her BEST Easter yet. So it is for Herb, too. This IS his BEST Easter in 75 years! In loving sympathy to Charlotte and all their family members as they cherish all the wonderful memories they made as a family of faith. May the good Lord grant you peace and comfort knowing that Herb is at Jesus side now in all the GLORY that is promised for all Christians for ETERNITY.
