My deepest sympathies and sincere condolences to the Meier family on the passing of Colonel Meier. He was one of my chemistry instructors at USAFA. Because of his no-nonsense, tell-it-like-it-is approach I scraped through chemistry and eventually graduated. It was the dedication of officers like Colonel Meier who made a difference in the lives of thousand of cadets' and future officers'. Here's a toast to the Host and a nickel on the grass. RIP. Robert Baker, Major, USAF (ret.) USAFA Class of 1985

My condolences echo yours. Of all the instruction I received as a USAFA cadet, the memories of class with Colonel Meier remain the most vivid, and I modeled some of my own teaching style years later after his. RIP. Lawrence Ruggiero, Col, USAF(ret), USAFA ‘81
