Robbie was a good friend at the Zoo. His faith not only kept him but helped me and others.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Robbie's passing only yesterday. My deepest sympathy and condolences to Donna and all of Robbie's extended family. I was blessed to have him as a "brother in arms" during our post Academy years: navigation and electronic warfare training at Mather Air Force Base in California, combat crew training in EB 66 aircraft in Sumter South Carolina and finally with the 41st TEW Squadron in Thailand. We also had another shared interest as we were two of the three members of the Class of 65 that drove Jaguar XKE' s, and on top of all that he was the best man at my first wedding to another gal named Sally in 1966. What endeared us to him was his unmatched intellect tempered by his humility, encouraging attitude, sense of humor, and a ready smile. He was definitely a Force for Good, and we will have a special remembrance for him during our Veterans return to Thailand next year. Jeff Schmidt

I still remember my Uncle Jim as a magician. Some how he could make a coin or a small ball come out of my ear. I remember the family reunions we he was always playing cards. When Amy and Ashley were older, we seemed to be babysitting during these events. Though you lived on the other side of the country for a long time, we will always have fond memories of you. Till we meet again.

I grew up 3 doors down from the Robison family. My friends and I were, as usual up to go good, throwing water balloons at cars right in front of our home. As our next target came up the road we took aim and hit Mr Robison's car! He slowed to a stop and gets out of his vehicle. We thought we were in big trouble and we started looking to where we should run to. He looks over at us and says "Great shot!" That was my only memory of him but I remember feeling extremely scared followed by a smile. That should have gone a different way for us but he chose to us kindness and laughter. We also stopped throwing water balloons after that day.

Jim and I were roommates at the Academy. I could not have had a better roommate. We enjoyed our time together as friends as well as roommates. He certainly helped me get through our freshman year. We recently make contact again after several years of living our separate lives, and I was hoping to visit Jim in person sometime soon. He was a special person. Curtis Wolfe

Brother Jim was not one to display a lot of emotion. However, shortly after the Vietnam memorial wall was built in DC, memories flooded back. For some reason, Jim left Vietnam a day earlier than his crew. The plane crashed and all of them had died. Needless to say, touching his hand to each individual stone, it brought tears to his eyes.

In his late teens, Jim and his friend Dick , decided to ferment apple cider. After weekly checking on its status, they were grumbling about their lack of success. Dicks mom caught them and said, "it doesn't work well when I boil it every week " the duel response " We've been caught" .

Hiking in the hot Vegas desert. Watching you cuddle the girls on the couch. Teaching us how to retire the flag. Listening to your stories. What a great story teller! Your patience. Let's not forget, always eating your food while it's hot! We all miss you! ❤️
