I met JJ 16 years ago and initially we didn't see eye to eye. Everything changed when my first granddaughter, Malea was born. The two of us loved her so much that we agreed to bury the hatchet and instead love that wonderful child. I prayed and asked God to give me love for him just as much as my own son. I loved JJ, and Over the course of the last 15 years JJ and I shared great conversations, while we developed a mutual respect, and both shared great love for all 5 of the terrific children he had. Behind his massive physical body, JJ was a sweet, loving man who would greet the world with heartfelt hugs. JJ was a connoisseur of good music, an expert in all things professional football, especially Steeler lore. What I will remember most about JJ is the great love he had for Malea, Malakai, Mia, Maylee, and Mirabella. JJ; I love you, I'll miss you, and I will do my best to share with those 5 children good memories you left with me. With love, Your father in law
