My condolences to you and your family on the loss of your beautiful sweet mom. I met Fran in 7th grade and enjoyed having her as a friend all the way through Jr College and all the years up to today. There are so many great memories of her from church, Job's Daughters, drill team, slumber parties, many classes and school organizations. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She was kind to everyone, really smart, lots of fun to be with, and the real deal. A true role model of what a person should be like in life. She was creative, loved her family, loved her students and would help anyone in need. Fran was a life-long friend that will be greatly missed

We both grew up in Compton and shared a common friend, Mary Evans Holcombe. In the 1980s-90s we became close friends working in the adoption movement. She made each member of our family a personalized tree ornament made from dough. They were both lovely and treasured by us. Many years latter another mutual friend, Mary Long Collier, got us back in touch. Such a generous good person.

My son had her as a teacher, my daughter-in-law as a tutor and I had her for a dear friend. She was a whiz at the computer, did many family histories and made the most clever cards you could think of. My heart is broken and I will miss her terribly. Linda Walters

My memories of my youth were "jogged" by all the pictures and newspaper articles that Frances posted on Facebook. She must have been the most organized person on the planet to be able to find the appropriate pictures and clippings to post. I can only imagine the thousands of photos and mementos she has accumulated over the years, especially of her children and grand children who she obviously cherished. Frances also "jogged" long lost memories such as having a dance with her at the Pathfinder Club (only really old Compton people would remember that), school field trips, parades and school activities. We shared many classes together at Emerson Elementary, Roosevelt Jr. High and Dominquez High School. Thank you for the memories Frances. You will be missed.
