Obituary of Beverly Joan Rammes

Joan Rammes, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was 92 years of age. Joan was born in Victoria, Illinois on June 6, 1930 to Frank and Kathryn (Rice) Fuller. Joan, the eldest of four children, was raised and educated in Peoria, Illinois, and was a graduate of Manual High School. Over the years, Joan lived in East Peoria, Illinois; Brown Deer and Port Washington, Wisconsin; and Chattanooga, Tennessee, before finally moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she spent the last eighteen years of her life. Joan had a long and successful business career, first as a retail clerk, then as a buyer for a department store chain. Joan was preceded in death by her father and mother; her husband, Fred Rammes; her two younger sisters, Beth (Fuller) Sheely and Shirley (Fuller) Fahnestock; and her only daughter, Lynda (Rammes) Hight. She is survived by her brother, David (Jackie) Fuller; her eldest son, Steven (Becky) Rammes; her younger son, Jeffrey (Amy) Rammes; ten grandchildren, Bradley, Matthew, Benjamin, Sharon, Valerie, Maila, and Abigail Rammes, and Jeffrey, Christopher, and Adam Hight; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joan was a strong and loving matriarch of her family. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all whose lives she touched. "On the night before He died, Jesus said, In My Father's house there are many dwelling places...If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to Myself, so that where I am you also will be." We who loved Joan believe that she is in that better place now. May God Bless and Keep her soul. Services pending.
