Obituary of Mark Douglas Greier

Mark Douglas Greier, 50, of Black Forest, Colorado passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, December 16, 2022 after an incredible fight to survive many medical challenges. Mark showed tremendous strength and courage and cherished the support of his family and friends during his prolonged battle. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Mark was born on December 3, 1972 to Doug and Ruth Greier in Boulder, Colorado. The family moved to Rochester, Minnesota soon after, where Mark spent his younger years and worked as a DJ at a roller rink before attending an electrician trade school in town. Mark used this trade and worked many years in telecommunications before starting his own company in 2016. On May 23, 1998 he married the love of his life, Kerri, in Manitou Springs, Colorado. Their love resulted in two beautiful children, who are the most important part of their lives. They eventually settled in Black Forest, Colorado where they became a welcomed part of the community. Mark was an avid skier, master scuba diver and skydiving enthusiast. He enjoyed camping, boating, snowmobiling, traveling, concerts, dancing, singing and creating lifelong memories. Quality time with family was always one of his favorite activities. Mark could light up any room he entered with his larger than life persona. He loved to laugh and could make friends with anyone he encountered. He was a legend. Mark left an imprint on this world that will forever be engraved in our hearts. Mark is survived by his mother, Ruth Greier; his wife, Kerri Greier; his children, Sydney and Zach Greier; his sisters, Heidi (Aaron) Kingstrom, and Tammi (Tom) Heath; his nieces, Ashley (Lisa) Cooney, Miranda (Taylor) Pinto, and Jessica (Spencer) Kingstrom-Firpo; his nephews, Nolan Kingstrom, Dylan Heath, Jacob Hendricks, and Kyle Hendricks; and his parents-in-law, Thomas and Kathy Hendricks.
