Obituary of Anna Marie Medina

Anna Marie Medina, 96, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away peacefully at home on February 6, 2024 surrounded in love by all of her immediate family.

She was born December 14, 1927 to Epifanio and Rebecca Mondragon in San Pablo, Colorado.

Anna went to high school in San Luis, Colorado and graduated in 1948.

She worked as a technician at Hewlitt Packard in Colorado Springs and retired after 17 years of service.

Anna was involved in multiple ministries at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church and was a founding member of The Sacred Heart Society de San Francisco.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband Felix Benicio Medina; her parents, Epifanio and Rebecca Mondragon; 3 sisters, Ceria, Sally and Clorinda; 3 brothers, Charlie, Maggie and Steven; 4 Grandchildren, Joseph Medina, James Medina, Michael Medina, and Elizabeth Medina and 1 Great-Great Grandson Travieso Sanisteven.

Anna is survived by her 2 brothers, Phillip and David Mondragon; her 5 children, Julian (Clorinda) Medina, Ernie (Linda) Medina, Mike (Jennifer) Medina, Sylvia Ahumada and Albert Medina; 13 Grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren and 31 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Anna was the most kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was known for her famous enchiladas and her honest heart. She always had kind words and was consistently described as the most sweet and happy person. She was a long-standing member of Divine Redeemer Catholic Church and volunteered to assist others with baptisms, weddings and funerals. She loved to crochet and sew for her family. She loved traveling, playing cards, singing and helping her family.

 

 Anna will be missed dearly.
