Obituary of Desales Read Rowsey Jr.

DeSales Rowsey Jr. passed away on December 30, 2023.

DeSales "Dee" was born on January 29, 1943 in Washington, D.C. to Margaret and DeSales Rowsey Sr. He was raised in Elmira, New York. After high school, Dee joined the U.S. Air Force and served four years at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona.

While visiting a friend in Colorado, he met his future wife of 57 years. Together, they had one son.

He worked at Frontier Mechanical in the warehouse and delivery department.

Dee loved to travel and met his goal to visit all 50 states. He loved camping in the mountains and was a member of the Rocky Toppers Camping Group. He was also a big Broncos fan.

Dee was preceded in death by his mother; father; and one brother.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; his son, John (Vicky); his sisters, Peggie, Mary, Bonnie, Libby, and Roxanne; and his brothers, Jack, Daniel, James, and Robert.

Services and interment will be at Pikes Peak National Cemetery.
