Obituary of Joan Lentini

Joan Angela Morano was born on June 18, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York to John Morano and Katherine Locantore. 

While growing up Joan worked in her parents' grocery store in Brooklyn and later in Cairo, New York. She graduated high school in 1958 and worked various jobs in New York City, including as a secretary at the Port Authority of New York where she met her future husband, Nino R. Lentini. They married on June 23, 1963 and lived in New York City, Long Island, Washington DC, Indiana, and California. 

Nino became an orthopedic surgeon and Joan ran his office and managed the books. She also worked to put him through medical school. 

They had two children, Jacqueline Lentini McCullough and Karl Lentini. 

Joan passed away on January 27, 2024 in Colorado Springs. 

Joan was described as strong in her Catholic faith, kind to a fault and devoted to her family. She was a bright, positive person who will be sorely missed. 

She is survived by her two children and Jacki's two boys, Alex and Gavin McCullough, and son in law Andrew A. McCullough.
