Marilynne Anderson Starr lived her 80 years from February 13, 1943, to December 15, 2023, with love and a winsome smile.
She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She loved her mother, Evelyn, and her father, Howard, a union painter and WWII Marine Corps veteran in Chicago, her birthplace. She loved her younger sisters, Carole, and Darlene.
She loved her sweetheart at Bethel College, Steven, through all the tears, trials, blessings and joy in 58 years of marriage.
She loved her son Stephen and her daughter-in-law, Michelle Renee Velasquez. She loved her grandchildren, Sarah, Mason, and Tanner.
She loved her creative career with chapters that included: English teacher in Minnesota and New Jersey; motherhood in New York; business partner, audiovisual producer, scriptwriter, and corporate meeting planner in Florida; picture editor and paparazzi in California.
In Colorado Springs for 27 years, she loved the flowers she planted around her little 1903 home. And through those years she dearly loved five cats and three dogs.
At her church home, Grace and St. Stephen’s Episcopal, she loved her sisters and brothers in Christ. There, her life of love will be celebrated on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 2:00PM with Holy Eucharist, interment in the Memorial Garden, and a reception in the Parish Hall.
