Elaine Marie Glover, 86, passed away on November 29, 2023 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She was born on the family farm in Pierson, Iowa on June 29, 1937 to Irene Reimenschnieder Schmidt and John Alvin Schmidt.

Elaine was married to Carlyle for 64 years, and they raised three sons and a daughter at various Air Force stations throughout the U.S. She worked for El Paso County in the Treasurer’s office and as the Benefits Administrator for county employees for 25 years. She loved playing (and winning) card games and board games, bowling league, camping and fishing with the family, singing in the church choir, and spending lots of time visiting with extended family and friend groups. After retiring, she and Carlyle traveled the country and parts of Canada in their RV. They were avid members of the Family Campers and RVers, and the Excel Campers of Colorado.
