Bunhom Tkachenko

Obituary of Bunhom Seechai Tkachenko

Bunhom “Noi” Seechai Tkachenko, age 52, of Colorado Springs went to her eternal resting place after a two-year battle with cancer on November 19, 2023.

She had a big heart and was kind, thoughtful, outgoing, and always went out of her way to help others. Her smile and outgoing personality lit up a room and made everyone happy. She was a positive influence in so many others lives and will be missed dearly.

Noi was born in a village in Surin, Thailand and moved to Bangkok at age 12. She worked as a receptionist and tour guide while in Bangkok and Pattaya Beach.  Noi also spent two years in Dresden, Germany as part of an employee exchange program. In 2000, she immigrated to the United States and married her first husband. He was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Their son, Brian, was born in 2002 and two years later they moved to Barstow, California. Noi began working at the National Training Center Fort Irwin during this time as an Inventory Specialist at the Class 9 warehouse. She excelled at this position due to her attention to detail, intelligence, and work ethic. She also attended Barstow Community College and was a licensed massage therapist.

Noi met her current husband, Eric Tkachenko, in January 2009. They were engaged when Eric moved back to Boulder and subsequently married in 2012. She called Colorado Springs home for the last 10 years of her life where she served as “house executive”.

Noi is survived by Eric; Brian; and her two younger twin brothers that reside in Surin, Thailand.
