Obituary of Judith Ververs-Maez
Judith Alyce Ververs-Maez passed away on October 21, 2023.
She was born January 8, 1943 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Leo and Alyce Ververs. Their family lived in Kutch and moved to Colorado Springs where Judy attended several elementary schools. Judy graduated from Roy J. Wasson High School in 1961 and went on to earn a business degree from Blair Business College.
Upon graduation she married and moved to California where she began her family. Judy later returned to Colorado Springs and bought a home in Calhan, Colorado where she lived until recent years.
Judy enjoyed working in the food industry for 50 years, alongside being a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to spend time with her family, fish, read, and entertain her many grandchildren.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Alyce Ververs; sister Linda Jo Ververs-Orth; and grandson Dylan Michael Prosser (2021).
Judy is survived by her sister Janet Ververs-Kolts; brother Charles Ververs; children, David Prosser, Mary (Dave) Baxley, Lauri Prosser, Erica (Jeff) Gonzales, Linda Maez, and Kevin (Evelyn) Maez; grandchildren, Brian (Stephanie) Prosser, Joshua (Kelley) Prosser, Leo (Kegan) Prosser, Lily (Darian) Hill, Nathan Baxley, Travis Baxley, Rachel (Tijae) Baxley, Jeffrey (Julia) Gonzales, Lerissa Gonzales, Sophia Gonzales, Krystal (Devin) Maez, Ashlee Maez, and Donavan Maez; and her great-grandchildren, Amelia Prosser, Cody Prosser, Hannah Prosser, Clara Prosser, Tresten Hill, Jacob Baxley, Aspen Stevens, Noah Stevens, Cael Cook, Odin Gonzales, Laine Amaya, Dante Herring, and Emmanuel Herring.
