Lucy was my Auntie and she is also the person who baptized me she was my Nina ❤️
I have so many beautiful memories with this amazing woman from the time I was a child she always took the time to always do fun activities with us and always made sure we felt loved. As I got older moved away starting into my adult life and then became a mother she always let me know how proud she was. Auntie Lucy had the most positive outlook on life and always had the best advice to give you she was that person that encouraged you to do better and alway let you know that anything was possible. I will always remember the last time we talked even though you were going through so much you still continued to be thankful for everything. I love you and I will miss you dearly. I’m so thankful to have had this beautiful person a part of my life. Rest in peace Nina. I know one day we will all be reunited with you.

It has been a joy to know this family thru Henry. God has blessed us with families like this one who serve as guiding lights and helping others. Prayers lifted for each of you as you remember this special “Child of God”.

I've known Lucy for 20 years. On the first day our radiology class arrived at Penrose Hospital in 2003, Lucy was there camera in-hand to capture the moment for us. At that time (before the hospital was forced to restrict limited scope x-ray techs) I learned a great deal from her. She was a great teacher and as good as the best seasoned radiographer. After the change, she had the humility to continue in a more limited capacity (she could no longer take x-rays) and yet I still learned from her. She taught me how to be a better person and how to care for anyone in need as if they were a family member. She took the time to spread her love in so many ways that I was embarassed by my limited ability to do the same. She attended chapel every morning, cleaned the breakroom when no one else would take the time to do so and shared her love of God with me even though she knew I was not a Christian. She always made time to speak with me, encourage me during the hard times and taught me the value of community service. She was the true personification of unconditional love. If anyone deserves to be in heaven it is Lucy.

Lucy was a truly amazing woman. A coworker sent this card to her when she retired from Penrose hospital. I think it says it all.
