Obituary of Richard Albert Eaton

Richard “Rich” Albert Eaton, 87, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. 

He was born December 2, 1935 to Samuel and Christina (Hutchison) Eaton in Detroit, Michigan. 

On February 26, 1966 he married Carla Helen Walker in Detroit, Michigan. 

Besides the love of his life Carla, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, flying airplanes, playing baseball, trap shooting, long bow target shooting (that must have been the Cherokee Indian in him), camping in his RV, bowling and playing cards, just to list a few. As you can see, he enjoyed living life and he certainly lived life to the fullest.

Rich is survived by his son, Nathaniel Eaton and his wife Danielle, of Colorado Springs, CO; his daughter, Kimberly Thames and her husband Mike, of Colorado Springs, CO; his daughter, Janna Faughn and her husband Jerry, of Elk City, OK; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Rich is preceded in death by his spouse, Carla Eaton; his parents, Samuel and Christina Eaton; one brother; and four sisters.
