Obituary of Erwin H. Meinberg
Erwin H. Meinberg, beloved husband and father, passed away at the age of 94 on Sept. 7, 2023.
A resident of Colorado Springs since 1972, Erwin was born to Fritz and Adele Meinberg on August 31, 1929 in El Reno, Oklahoma.
Erwin was a very quiet and stoic man with deeply held values. He faithfully served his country both in the Army and Air Force for over 22 years. He was devoted to his wife Ann for 59 years and mourned her loss deeply.
As a young man, he enjoyed fishing and honing his skills as a champion bowler.
In later years, he enjoyed football, sweets, and playing cards. Erwin was devoted to his Catholic faith and in his final days talked about going home to the Lord’s house.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ann; and his brothers, Herman and Harry.
He is survived by his two daughters, Sonja Ragaller (Spouse: Rick) of Colorado Springs, CO and Ilona Montera (Spouse: Dennis) of Albq., NM; his grandchildren, Nicolas, Sabrina, and Marena; and his great-grandsons, Logan and Colson.
Erwin will be missed and his memory will live on in our hearts.
