Obituary of Barbara Hanson Fitts

Barbara Fitts passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023.

Barbara was born to Rodney and Erma Hanson on September 11, 1940 in Astoria, Oregon. 

Her family would soon move to Toppenish, Washington. She graduated from Toppenish, High School, and would continue her education at Washington State University where she earned a degree in Home economics Education. 

During her time at W.S.U. Barbara would marry her first husband, James Wesley Fitts. 

Barbara worked as a substitute teacher for the Forks, Washington School district for 25 years.  

She was an active 4-H leader in Clallam County serving both at the local area as a club leader and on the county fair board.  Barbara will be remembered as a woman of faith, who served her local church her entire life.   

She would finish her days in Ramah, Colorado.

Barbara survived her husband Wes, after 40 years of marriage.  Barbara would remarry Allan Davis and would survive him after seven years of marriage.    
She is survived by her two children, James and Betsy; and her five grandchildren, Alexander, Connor, Caleb, Madalynn and Bjorn. 

The family is planning a memorial service in Washington, date and where will be decided in the near future.
