Obituary of Stanley W. Mael

Stanley W. Mael, age 71, went to heaven on September 9, 2023.  He was a resident of Colorado Spring for 42 years. He was a city planner and associate with Higginbotham and Associates.

Stan was born on November 2, 1951, to James Mael and Mary Loop at St. John’s Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. On July 29, 1973, he married Suzanne Kendrick in Duenweg, Missouri.

He loved ministering to everyone he met. He was a very active member of Charis Christian Center. He volunteered in the prison ministry for about two years. He helped in the Childrens Ministry for nearly 30 years at both Charis Christian Center and Living Waters Church. He was a published author, writing five books. He started his own ministry, Next Generation Ministry INC in March of 2014. He graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in City/Urban Planning in 1981 and from Charis Bible College with a Masters in Biblical Studies 2014. 

Stan enjoyed watching all types of sports. He was an avid golfer. He loved the Kansas City Chiefs and reveled in last year’s Super Bowl Victory.  

He is survived by his loving wife Suzanne; their family; and a whole community of friends and adopted family.
