Obituary of Bob Lewis Kelly
Bob Lewis Kelly, 89, passed away peacefully on September 2nd after his fight with cancer.
He was born on March 18, 1934 to Lewis and Emma Kelly of Rexford, Kansas. Bob grew up in Goodland, Kansas where he met and married his sweetheart Elaine.
Bob and Elaine were married in October of 1956 and were married for 63 years. They moved to the Colorado Springs area in 1961, where they raised their three children. Bob and Elaine were active members of Ascension Lutheran Church.
Bob worked in commercial construction for the majority of his career, and he was a respected foreman on job sites. Bob spent much of his retirement in his woodshop. He used his talents to make beautiful pieces including Christmas ornaments, rolling pins, and gift boxes. Bob loved a cup of coffee with friends, attending grandchildrens’ sporting events, and a second serving of ice cream.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine; parents; sister, Ila; and brothers, Bud and Joe.
He is survived by his brother, Bill; as well as children, Bruce (Sheila), Glenda, and Craig (Linda); five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
