Obituary of Dorothy Anna Wesner

Dorothy Anna Wesner, also known as Dot Wesner, peacefully passed away on August 19, 2023, at the age of 90 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. 

She was born on January 10, 1933, in Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, to the late Paul and Mary Maidenford.

Dot had an illustrious career, dedicating 40 years as a talented seamstress and an additional 10 years as a kitchen manager for Aurora Public Schools. Her attention to detail and creativity were evident in all her work.

Outside of her professional life, Dot had a wide range of hobbies that brought her joy. She enjoyed bowling, cooking, decorating, crafts, sewing, and knitting. These activities allowed her to express her creative artistic side and share her creations with loved ones.

Dot will be dearly missed by her surviving brothers, Eugene Maidenford, Thomas Maidenford, and Albert Maidenford; as well as her sons, William (Katherine) Wesner, Robert (Brenda) Wesner, and David (Leslie) Wesner. Dot will be greatly loved and missed by her grandchildren: Josh and Nathan Wesner, Samantha Rauter, Sasha Gunderman, Nicole Duncan, Amanda and Justin Wesner, Austin and Samuel Wesner; along with her 11 great-grandchildren.  

Dot joins her parents, Paul and Mary Maidenford; her husband, Harold Jr. Wesner; and sisters, Pauline, Arlene, Shirley, Ruth, Mary Ann; and brothers, Robert, Henry, and Dennis, all who have preceded her into God’s loving hand. She leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, resilience and a passion for helping others.
