Karen Monterosso

Obituary of Karen Allen Monterosso

Karen had a lifelong passion and love for Jesus and animals.

First and foremost was her love for Jesus. This was made evident when she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at 10 years of age.

She used to walk five miles to church as a child and she began winning souls to the Lord at that same time, including most of her family.

Her second love was animals. She was the owner and operator of Karen's Yorkies Incorporated (a state licensed, state inspected, world-renowned dog breading facility) located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Karen utilized her business to further the kingdom of God by spreading the news of Jesus to everyone she met and winning numerous souls to Him throughout her life.

Karen was a ray of sunshine to all who knew her. She never met a stranger and had a unique gift to make everyone she met feel loved and special.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, David Monterosso of Colorado Springs; her sister, Gloria Sutton of Dallas, Texas; as well as other family and numerous friends whom she dearly loved.

She will be profoundly missed by those whose lives she touched on this earth and is joyful singing in God's choir in Heaven.
