Obituary of Billy Ray Clark
Billy R. Clark was born on December 29, 1934, in Healdton, Oklahoma to Willis and Gladys (Ratliff) Clark.
He was married July 17, 1964 in Frickenhausen, Germany, to Karin (Berthold) Clark.
He is survived by his son, Frank of Madison, Alabama; his daughter, Suzanne of Fountain, Colorado; his brother, Ronald; and his sister, Wanda Fryer.
Mr. Clark was retired from the Army as a Master Sargent and was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal with 1st through 5th awards, National Defense Service Medal, Army Occupation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Vietnamese Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service stars, and Meritorious Unit Citation with Oak Leaf Cluster.
Mr. Clark Had been an area resident since 1973. After retirement, he received an Associate in Arts degree from PPCC and a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCCS.
He was also retired from Fountain Fort Carson School District 8.
He was a member of several civic and public organizations to include the Fountain Parks Board, The Fountain Planning Commission, and the District 8 School Board.
He was a life member of the Retired Enlisted Association and the Disabled American Veterans.
