Obituary of Barbara Joy Stribling
Barbara "Bobbie" Stribling passed away on July 28, 2023, at the age of 85 after a long and happy life filled with friends and family.
A native of Lincoln, Nebraska, Bobbie graduated from the University of Nebraska and was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. Bobbie raised 3 children and will be missed every day. She loved life and made friends with everyone.
After college, Bobbie married Don Wenzl and remained married until his death in 1974. Bobbie then married Don Stribling for 45 happy years until Don’s passing in 2017. Bobbie was a fabulous mother, grandma and a loving wife. She was a loyal member and volunteer of the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Bobbie was one of those generous people who always remembered special occasions. Being a wonderful cook and baker, she was forever taking food to people in their time of need.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Dusty; and sisters, Rocky and Sherry. Together with her sister Rocky, they had an extreme passion for Christmas, bingo and playing the slots. She is survived by her children, Steve Wenzl, Ann Schlattmann (Kenny), Dan Wenzl (Ann); 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
