Yasmin Bryant

Obituary of Yasmin Melanie Bryant

Yasmin Melanie Bryant “Yashi”, age 39, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at UC Health Anschutz Medical Campus in Denver after a years-long battle with Leukemia.

She was born April 3, 1984, in Schweinfurt Germany to Refika Goren and Gunther Ortmann.  Yasmin came to the US in 1994 and graduated from Shaw High School in Columbus, Georgia in 2002. Wherever Yasmin ventured, be it Georgia, Florida, California, or Colorado, she brought with her the innate qualities of love, joy, selflessness, and most of all, faith.  People were drawn to Yasmin’s ability to laugh and love, and she made life-long friends wherever she went.  Yasmin was a loving wife to Josh Bryant and a mother to three children-Jaden age 16, Kinsey age 12, and Parker age 5.  In passing, she leaves behind her mother and father as well as her sister Sandra and brother Scott.

For those of us left behind, we remember that Yasmin was never deterred by the fears in her mind but instead, motivated by the dreams in her heart.  She embraced every moment of change and thanked God every day for his gifts.  Not once did Yasmin let cancer dictate her life. Yasmin always shared how grateful she was and never was afraid of what was next. Yasmin felt at peace when she was sitting on a beach and listening to the waves. May we all find comfort in knowing, if we are at the beach, she will be walking with us.

We will miss our big sister, as will those she impacted throughout her life.  Yasmin Melanie Bryant was our angel in life and will be our angel forevermore in heaven

If you can find it in your hearts and would like to help the Bryant family, please Venmo Josh @Josh-Bryant-105  who will be raising three children on his own.
