Obituary of Josephine Muriel Gennitti

Ms. Josephine Muriel Gennitti, 83, of Fountain, Colorado passed away July 24, 2023, at Cheyenne Mountain Care Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  
 
She was born on August 8, 1939, in Cape Town, South Africa, daughter to Joseph Morris Ford and Vera Agnus (Van Clerk) Ford. 
 
Josephine was a devout faithful Catholic and spent countless hours praying the rosary to Our Blessed Mother. She was a fearless woman who raised five boys as a single mom and who was never deterred by any hardship. She enjoyed arts and crafts, making rosaries and bracelets for her grandchildren. Josephine was a strong, determined, and fiercely independent woman who endured life’s challenges with strength and faith in God. 
 
Josephine is survived by her sons, Gregory M. Gennitti, John A. Gennitti, Joseph A. Gennitti, and Michael V. Gennitti; her nine grandchildren, Kirsten, Charlene, Sarah, Paula, Georgianna, Gregory, Shelby, Hailey, and Anthony; and eight great-grandchildren, Vincent, Leila, Dominic, Cecilia Esai, Ezekiel, Enoch, and Sophia.   

Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Morris Ford and Vera Agnus Ford; and her son Ian A. Pidcock.
