Obituary of Harry E. Myers

Harry E. Myers, 76, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, started his new journey to the heavenly hunting and fishing pastures on July 14, 2023. 

Harry was born on November 5, 1946, to Harry and Alice Myers in Everett, Pennsylvania. He was raised in Harrisonville, Pennsylvania. In 1965 he joined the Army and served his country until 1980. During his military career, he served tours in Vietnam and Europe. He proudly served in the 8th Infantry division. 

Harry worked for Civil Service from 1980-2002, Envision Express from 2002-2009. 

Harry loved to go fishing with his wife Sonja and the occasional trip to Cripple Creek. He also loved to go hunting with his best friend Freddie Avila every year for 20 years. He enjoyed his morning routines of breakfast at his favorite McDonalds with the wonderful people that always made his day start right. 

Harry will be greatly missed and is extremely loved by many. His smile has always lit up the room and brightened every heart. He will continue to sing his Barry White songs to his wife, enjoy his westerns, dance to Elvis, and fall asleep on his couch watching golf. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Shirley; his stepson Gary; and his nephews, Matthew and Johann (Johnny).

He is survived by his wife, Sonja; his children, Patricia Brown, Joseph Brown, Ron Myers, and Lorina Santiago-Ostolaza; his grandchildren, Matthew Myers, Anthony Santiago, Miranda Zeyala, Anthony Brown, Samuel Brown, and Zackary Brown; his sister-in-law, Margareta Skinner; niece Joann; and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. 

He is also survived by his beloved furry babies, Sheba, and Buddy; and his furry niece Missy. 

He will be cremated on Monday, July 24, 2023, and his service will be at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, Friday, July 28, 2023, time to be determined.
