Obituary of Dorothy June Edsall

Our dear mother, Dorothy June (Riley) Edsall, sadly passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023.  

She was born on July 21, 1931 in Cortez, Colorado. She spent her young childhood in the four corners area until her family moved to the Bay Area in California. 

She married her wonderful and loving husband, Howard Roy Edsall, on November 17, 1951.  They were married for fifty-five years before Roy passed in 2007.  

Dorothy retired from AT&T with over thirty years of service. 

In Dorothy's own words, "The Lord blessed me with a wonderful life. I am very thankful for everyone and so much love! The Lord blessed me with a wonderful husband. We put up with each other's faults. The Lord blessed me with wonderful children who had wonderful children who had wonderful children and wonderful extended families."

In the words of her children, "Our mother really enjoyed her family, lots of laughter, good food, loved her movies, loved to hear her children sing and she was always thoughtful of others. We will miss her smiling face and encouraging words. We love you Mama!"

Dorothy is survived by her seven children, Debbie Steinkirchner, Beckie (Danny) Randolph, Carole (Stu) Bridges, David (Barb) Edsall, June (William) Wells, Lois Adams, and Chris Edsall; seven grandchildren, Angie Denison, Naomi Randolph, Jamie Joyner, Sabra Bulgier, Garrette Adams, Danielle Fiedeldey, Vanessa Randolph, and Reanna Edsall; several great and great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Larry Giles.
