Obituary of Antoinette Virginia Wagner
On July 2, 2023 Antoinette "Toni" Lombardi went to be reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband and family who had preceded her. She passed away just one day before her and Carroll's 75th wedding anniversary. Toni was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was the Matriarch of her large family. Family was everything to her.
Antoinette Virginia Lombardi was born on April 21, 1930 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Anthony and Margaret Lombardi (nee Cinquenni). She married Carroll Walter Wagner on July 3, 1948 at St Patrick's Cathedral in Baltimore.
Toni and Carroll moved from Baltimore to Ocean City, Maryland after retirement and quickly became Community Volunteers. For many years they were devoted to volunteering with the Ocean City Elks Lodge, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. Toni was also active with the Ocean City Beautification Committee and The Tree of Life Project, which she founded. Toni will be best remembered for her love of family, her cooking, and how she loved to entertain, and how she was able to make everyone feel welcomed and cared for. She will be deeply missed by so many.
She is survived by her children, Michele H. Kail of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Mark C. Wagner of Westover, Maryland; her grandson, Ryan J. Buck of Denver, Colorado; and her great-grandson, Logan A. Buck of Denver, Colorado. She is also survived by a great-grandson, Tarquin Armknecht of Denver, Colorado; and great-great granddaughter, Maisie Ryan Armknecht of Denver, Colorado.
A double Celebration of Life will be held in both Baltimore and Ocean City, Maryland in mid to late October.
Memorial contributions in their names may be made to the Ocean City Elks Lodge BPOE, #2645, 13708 Sinepuxent Avenue, Ocean City, Maryland, or to the National Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
Blessed be their memories.
