Obituary of Kent Eugene Pickering

Kent Pickering of Colorado Springs passed away June 14, 2023. 

He was born October 6, 1941 to Alex and Edna Pickering in Salina, Kansas. Kent went to high school at Salina High School and graduated in 1959. 

Kent went on to serve in the Navy as a Signalman. Following his service, he worked in the insurance industry for 50 years. He loved to play games with family and friends, watch Jeopardy, and read the newspaper.

Kent is preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Alex; and his siblings, Larry and Judy. 

He is survived by his wife Leone; children, Chris Pickering, Mike (Kathy) Pickering, and Susan (Corey) Nakai; grandchildren, Ashton and Amaya Nakai, Lexi, Tyler and Owen Pickering; brother Jerry Pickering; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at the home of his daughter on June 24, 2023.
