Obituary of David Burdan Kulbiski

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of David Burdan Kulbiski, a beloved son, brother, father, and grandfather. David left behind his family and friends on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the age of 52.

Born on Sunday, November 18, 1970, in Bucklin, Kansas, to Kenneth Kulbiski and Beverly Nicholson, David's presence brought joy and laughter to those around him from the beginning. He grew up alongside his twin brother, Deric, and older brother, Kristopher.

David had a successful career as a plumber, a profession he dedicated himself to for over thirty years, during which he obtained his Journeyman's license. During his career, he took pride in being a member of the UA Local 58 Plumbers and Pipefitters of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Beyond his professional life, David was devoted to his family. He began his life with a twin brother, Deric, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond, and his older brother, Kristopher, whom he held in the highest regard. It was in 1991 that he met the love of his life, Bobbi Jo (Weins). The two exchanged vows on May 28, 1995, embarking on a relationship and marriage that spanned thirty-two years. Throughout their life together, they raised two children, Aaron and Annelea.

David was a devoted father, wholeheartedly cherishing his children. Among his children, David held a special place in his heart for Annalea, admiring her strong will and vibrant personality. To his grandsons, whom Aaron blessed him with, he was affectionately known as "Papa." David cherished his role as a grandfather and eagerly anticipated every opportunity to spend quality time with them. His love for his grandsons was immeasurable, and he truly embraced the joy and wonder they brought into his life. David's love extended beyond his immediate family. He embraced the role of an uncle to a nephew and three nieces, touching their lives with kindness, compassion, and unwavering support. His actions and words made it known that he cared deeply for each of them, leaving a lasting impression on their lives.

David's gentle and nonjudgmental nature touched the lives of everyone he encountered. Known for his unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand, he was a beacon of kindness to those in need. He found solace and comfort in his Christian faith and enjoyed attending church with his beloved grandsons. Inheriting a love for creativity from his family, David embraced working with his hands, finding joy in music, movies, and other various artistic pursuits. He was drawn to the outdoors, with fishing being one of his favorite pastimes. Nature provided him with a sense of peace and serenity.

The memory of his grandparents, Newell and Annalea Nicholson and Alex and Loraine Kulbiski held a special place in his heart, and he carried their legacy.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Bobbi Kulbiski; and their children, Aaron and Annalea Kulbiski; along with his grandsons, Ayden and Vincent.
