Obituary of Mary Lynne Schips

Mary “Lynne” Schips, 78, of Fountain, Colorado, passed away Sunday, June 4 at home surrounded by family. 

She was born November 06, 1944, in Nassau, New York where she met her husband, Sergeant First Class Marc J Schips who preceded her in death. They were married fifty-eight years. 

She is survived by sons, Eric, Aaron (Tandi), Brian (Melanie), and Mike; grandchildren, Mandy, Joseph, Andy, Sydney, David, Becky, and Michael; and many great-grandchildren.

 An avid gardener, voracious reader, and inquisitive problem-solver Lynne could oftentimes be found sitting outside enjoying a good book, coffee, and conversation.  

Memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Literacy Center at childrensliteracycenter.org. The Family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Memory Care Unit at Melody Living Care Facilities.
