She was a woman of God and was a Christian who was baptized at the Church of Most Pure Heart of Mary in Mobile, Alabama on the 4th of April, 1964.
Well educated, she graduated from Central High School, June 4th, 1965, in Mobile Alabama. She married Lawrence McClain, Jr. who was her high school sweetheart and he had graduated high school and joined the military. They were married when she turned nineteen years old, making her Gloria McClain, and they were married twenty years and had three children.
She attended Pikes Peak Community College for Business Management when she arrived in Colorado in the 80’s. She also majored in accounting and received a Bank Teller Certificate. She also received a Dental Assistant Certification. May 13th, 1995, she received her degree and graduated.
Shortly after, she fell in love and married Glenn Wilson, Jr. and became Gloria Wilson. She then decided to go back to school to the University of Southern Colorado for a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Management May 23, 2003. She graduated with her husband Glenn, and they both went on to attend school at Regis University for their teacher licensing program. She then attended school at University of Colorado for her master's in special education, going on to become a certified substitute teacher for over twenty years.
After twenty years of marriage with Glenn and filing for a divorce, she did not want to be called Gloria because that was not her birth name. She would always say somehow over the years that name had stuck with her. Therefore, she decided to go back to her roots, and she changed her name back to what was on her birth certificate.
