So many memories of Uncle Chuck. From the picture he took at KI Sawyer of his little nephew in the cockpit of a B-52, the airshow ride in a B-25 at Offutt, all the hobby shop visits, to the U-2 chase car ride with Grandpa Rusty, he always made the most of our time together and made it special. I remember how proud I was of the salutes he got going through the base gate. Throughout my own career, his composure, dry humor, and leadership were always at the back of my mind. He was a special officer, a special man, and a special uncle. I pray that Pat, Pam, and the rest of the family find peace and comfort in JESUS. LTC Sam Holte

I was so sorry and shocked to learn of Chuck's passing. My prayers and thoughts are with Pat and the Holte family and friends. Chuck was my first EWO at KI Sawyer and he was a gem. He knew the Electronic Warfare business better than anyone and was the best "star shooter" ever. His dry with and humor kept us all laughing and warm during those cold winter alerts and long B-52 flights. God bless.

My sincere condolences to Chuck’s family. Chuck and I served together at 9th Air Force/USCENTAF, Sumter SC. We deployed together a couple of times and, with a handful of other AF officers and enlisted, founded the IPMS Gamecocks chapter of the International Plastic Modeler’s Society.
