Obituary of Madalyn Marie Burnfield

Madalyn Marie Burnfield, a resident of Colorado and Texas native, passed away from terminal cancer on May 10th, 2023, in the early hours of the morning surrounded by her family. She was 54 years old. Her swift and untimely illness yields both heartbreak and disbelief but is never without hope. Madalyn's testimony is embellished by her selfless desire to serve God and others. 

A devoted wife and mother, a spiritual advocate in her home life and community; she touched the lives of everyone around her, leading a life of unblemished virtue and constant care for others. Her story is one of Godly strength and resilience, and an indomitable human spirit.

She graduated from Pima Medical Institute, obtaining the title of Registered Medical Assistant in November of 2022 before passing away the following May. Her exuberance and grace preceded her even unto death. As we gather here today in honor of her memory, we celebrate Madalyn, and her faith; taking comfort that she now resides in her Heavenly home - and forever in our hearts.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Douglas Odell Daughtry and Patricia Jane (Wright) Daughtry; and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and grandparents.

She is survived by her husband of twenty-five years, Barry Burnfield; along with her five children; Megan Janie Renobato, Emma Lee Burnfield, Lilly Elizabeth "Lillybeth" Burnfield, Elle Marie Burnfield, and William "Cross" Burnfield. She is also survived by her two brothers, Ty (Arleta) Daughtry and Rick (Lauren) Daughtry and their respective families.
