Obituary of Gregg Rowley Hutto

It is with great sadness that the family of Gregg Rowley Hutto announce his sudden passing on the morning of Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at the age of 31 after a brief battle with brain cancer.

Gregg received his acceptance to the United States Air Force Academy in 2009 and, after being medically retired in 2014, received his Bachelors of Innovation degree from the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs. His love of helping others led Gregg to pursue a nursing degree in 2022 and was a beloved diving coach for Pine Creek High School for the past nine years.

He enjoyed completing puzzles and Lego sets, golfing with friends and family, Star Wars, and being a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. His loyalty, passion, and tenacious spirit will be missed by all those who knew Gregg. 

Gregg is survived by his parents, Cal and Felicia; sibling, Eric; sister-in-law, Maggie; and niece, Eleanor.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Neil; and grandparents, Sid and Wynona Rowley, Jim Hutto, Eleanor Hutto, and Hank Basedow.

A funeral service will be held at the Air Force Academy on Wednesday, May 10 at 10:00 AM.
